Maya joined the Georgian Center soon after it was formed. Early in her career, she worked for 10 years in Georgia as a program manager for various humanitarian and development organizations. She has lived in the United States since 1999 and obtained a master’s degree in Development Economics from American University. She started her own B2C e-commerce company in 2013. She is a long-time supporter of Georgian theater and art. She also enjoys French culture and language and previously has worked for Agence France-Presse and taught French. In her free time, she enjoys theater, literature, and dance, and especially spending time with her family and friends.
