Nino Kobakhidze
Vice-President

Nino is one of the co-founders of the Georgian Center. Her primary responsibility is to recruit, manage and facilitate volunteer program initiatives to ensure a greater outreach and support in program implementation. On a wider role, she supports the Center in overall organizational strategy development as well as operational oversight. Nino brings 17 years of professional experience in international development working at and for different US Government departments and agencies managing economic development and social inclusion programs with the overall goal to positively change people’ lives.
Nino, together with her son and husband, immigrated to the U.S., greater DC area from Georgia in 2012 and proudly promoted Georgian culture and taught Georgian language to U.S. citizens. During her career, she received a number of recognition awards for her dedicated work and devotion to two nations. In her free time, Nino can be found at a quiet place with an interesting book on international development, diplomacy or history. She possesses the master’s degree in international affairs and more than a dozen USG certificates in program design, management, monitoring and evaluation.
